I Wish I'd Thought Of That!
I'm aiming to put on an Edinburgh Fringe show full of the sort of ideas that make me say "I wish I'd thought of that" and then remember that I did!
I first appeared at The Edinburgh Fringe in 1979 while studying Psychology and Dance at The Roehampton Institute. The Fringe Guide was in black and white and we printed our own tickets and perforated them on the sewing machine. My first play, The Power and The Purpose, was performed in Edinburgh in 1980 and, in 1982, I performed my solo play, Adele, which went on to a London tour in 1983. Other writing credits include 7 children’s shows for JamJar (most co-written with Alan Seymour, 1984-1986), Beauty and the Beast Pantomime (Wycombe Swan 1996), Dancing on the Forecourt (co-written with Dave Sivers – Ubiquitous Theatre Co. 1998), Two Birds (Ubiquitous Theatre Co. 1998 and 2004). Most recently I have had short plays and sketches performed in Cambridge by WRiTEON, Beat Club and Menagerie. Directing credits include The Real Inspector Hound (Edinburgh Fringe 1981), The Edge of Darkness (Wycombe Abbey Theatre 1992) and Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations (Amersham College 1998). In 2008 I produced three programmes of new work for WRiTEON in Cambridge and in May 2009 I produced Table Talk, a site specific evening of new short plays also for WRiTEON, which was a sell-out success.
